Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps in Germany, Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications in Germany on a unified platform showed varied trends. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, highlights the key metrics for Google Maps, Blitzer.de, OOONO, Waze Navigation & Live Traffic, and Google Earth.

Google Maps experienced a steady decline in weekly downloads from approximately 74.8K at the start of July to around 63.2K by the end of September. Revenue saw a noticeable increase mid-September, peaking at about $55. Weekly active users fluctuated, ending at roughly 47.9M.

Blitzer.de showed strong revenue performance, with a peak of approximately $194K in mid-September. Downloads started at 40.9K in late June, peaking at 51.7K in late July, and then gradually declining to around 38.4K by the end of the quarter. Active users reached a high of approximately 2.7M in early August.

OOONO saw a sharp increase in downloads early in the quarter, reaching 114K in the week of July 7. However, this number decreased steadily to about 22.1K by the end of September. Active users also saw fluctuations, peaking at around 1.2M in early July.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a consistent download rate, with a slight decline from 33.6K in early July to 28.1K by the end of September. Active users showed significant growth, reaching a high of approximately 1.1M in early September.

Lastly, Google Earth had a relatively stable download trend, beginning at 34.3K and ending at 25.6K. Active users peaked at around 945K in mid-August.
